Overview GRIT Youth Community Works ("we," "us," or "GRIT") is committed to protecting the privacy of our athletes, parents, and community partners. This policy outlines how we handle data collected through our website and registration processes.

Data We Collect
 

  • Parent/Guardian Information: Name, email, phone number, and mailing address.
     

  • Athlete Information: Name, age/grade, and athletic details (for program placement).
     

  • Financial Data: Payment information for the commitment fees is processed via secure third-party providers (e.g., Square, Stripe, etc). We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
     

  • Media: Photos or videos from the GRIT Youth Community Summit or training sessions (captured via our Media Release).

How We Use Your Data
 

  • To manage program registration and event logistics.
     

  • To communicate schedule updates and "GRIT Talk" mentorship materials.
     

  • To provide sponsors with anonymized impact data (e.g., "1000 kids served in Grand Rapids").
     

  • To honor the legacy of Evan Otte-Scott by sharing community success stories.

Youth Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

We do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13. All registrations must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
